Pemergian Tiger Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik

Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik dilahirkan di Kuala Kangsar, Perak pada 1943, beliau mendapat pendidikan awal di King Edward VII, Taiping dan Maktab Tentera Diraja. Kemudian beliau menyambung pelajaran dan mendapat Ijazah Sarjana Muda doktor perubatan dari Universiti Singapura pada tahun 1966. Kemudian beliau mendapat latihan di Pulau Pinang di mana beliau mula menyertai MCA sebagai ahli biasa.

Beliau meninggal pada 4 April 2026.

Mr Long Heng Hua, affectionately known as Pak Long, was a towering figure in Taiping’s educational landscape. Serving as principal of King Edward VII School (KEVII) for over two decades (1963-1982), he was revered not only for his administrative excellence but also for his deep commitment to character-building.

Edwardian Charity Fun Run 2025

Let’s do some good while having some fun!

Join the Old Edwardian Association, Kuala Lumpur for the Edwardian Charity Fun Run 2025 on Saturday, 8 November 2025 at Section 7 Lake Garden, Shah Alam, Selangor.

The event kicks off at 5 a.m. with the distribution of T-Shirts and goodie bags. The official flag-off is at 7.30 a.m.

All proceeds will go directly to supporting the sports teams at SMK King Edward VII, Taiping, Perak including rugby 🏉, football ⚽️, hockey 🏑, among others.
