Kapten Ahmad Irfan dah setahun!!!!

Hari nie 14 Jun 2009 genaplah umur Kapten Ahmad Irfan setahun. Alhamdulillah kapten Ahmad sihat dan bertenaga seperti biasa. Orang baru dapat kaki la katakan, apa lagi, pusing satu rumah tak berenti. Dapat naik buaian kat bawah tu lagi la suka, sebab ada budak-budak lain yang main sama.

So, kepada Kapten Ahmad Irfan, pihak Pengurusan Arts.Limited mengucapkan selamat hari jadi dan semoga murah ruzki, bijak selalu, senyum selalu dan happy selalu. Jadilah Kapten Ahmad yang berjasa kepada nusa dan bangsa.

Seni Fotografi

Bila sebut pasal fotografi, aku dah lama suka. Ini disebabkan minat aku terhadap bidang nie menjadi-jadi lama dah ni. Aku rasa nak pi ambik course untuk buat fotografi, sekurang-kurangnya buleh dijadikan sebagai side income. modalnya cuma beli camera dan ada PC power. Itu dah kira ok la tu.

Kekadang bila tengok geng-geng photographer dok pegang camera best-best nie, aku rasa jeles la plak.. aku punya camera kecik ja. Kat ITM ada course untuk fotografi nie. Aku ada jugak survey-survey, kat OUM (Open University) ada buat twinning dengan Alvin Leong Academy of Photograhy, ada offer course ni. Macam menarik ja.

Sambil kita kerja nie, kena buat jugak la kerja-kerja sampingan sambil memenuhi hobi sendiri. Aku suka ambik gambaq nie, memang dah suka. Sekarang nie tinggal nak beli camera canggih sikit la.. baru best. Ini adalah satu chabang seni. Aku suka seni.

Joy for Librarians

Good news for libraries. There is now an easier method for scanning a book without damaging the spine, thanks to e-Scan — a book scanner from France-based i2S SA, under its DigiBook series.

According to DigiBook regional sales manager Alexandre Besson, the e-Scan is a compact book-scanner that allows a user to scan any kind of book or bound documents, including fragile papers.

“e-Scan works by simply placing the book face up and the scanner (which looks like a lamp) captures the respective pages. The user starts the scan by using a touchscreen,” he said.

“Once the scan is done, the user can leave the library with the digital document on a thumb drive. Alternatively, the digital document can be printed out or shared within a computer network,” said Besson.

With this method of placing the book face up, the spine is not likely to be damaged. With e-Scan, users can scan books or bound documents that are up to 10cm thick and up to A3++ format (520 x 360mm).

e-Scan is capable of scanning in colour, greyscale, or black-and-white, and is equipped with a 15in touchscreen. It also features watermarking and RFID (radio-frequency identification) capabilities.

It retails for RM80,000 here and is distributed by Excel Envirotech Resources Sdn Bhd.
